1. Scope and purpose

This policy covers the Chee Hwan Kog visitor-service system. The system supports on-site registration, queue calling, fortune-slip records, consultation records, and authorised internal archive work. We should collect only data reasonably needed to deliver these services.

2. Data we handle

  • Name, telephone number, postal code, address, level and unit;
  • gender and birth year, plus zodiac and age calculated from the birth year;
  • selected service, ticket number, service table, queue status and timestamps;
  • fortune-stick number, result, and authorised uploaded result copies;
  • consultation category, visitor-provided details, guidance and related records;
  • staff account and timestamps associated with creating or updating records.

3. Use and disclosure

Data is used only to provide and administer the services above, verify or correct records, protect the system and archives, and meet applicable legal obligations. The public waiting display shows only ticket and table numbers—not names, telephone numbers, addresses or consultation content. We do not disclose personal data to unrelated third parties unless consented to, necessary for the service, or required by law.

4. Access and protection

Access is restricted by staff role. Staff must use individual accounts and must not share passwords. Sensitive archive files are delivered through permission-checked downloads, not public media links. Device, backup, session, audit and incident-response safeguards must be completed before live use.

5. Retention and disposal

Personal data should be kept only while required for service, operational or legal purposes, then securely deleted or anonymised. Record-specific retention periods await committee approval and will be published here once approved.

6. Access, correction and questions

For questions about personal-data handling, or to request access, correction, consent withdrawal or make a complaint, first approach the temple administration in person at 67 Anchorvale Link, Singapore 545071. The temple must still publish its designated data-protection contact and request procedure.

7. Singapore data protection

This policy is informed by the notification, purpose limitation, protection, retention limitation, access and correction obligations under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). See the Personal Data Protection Commission’s official obligations overview.
